Online Marketing For Life Coaching – Does It Make Sense?

Now then, let’s say you have chosen to become a life coach and you have studied up on how to help people, and have even helped yourself through life’s little up and downs. You’ve emerged a better person with a strong sense of self and a good deal of character, now you want to help others through their trials and tribulations. Okay so, let’s talk about this.

This could be a decent new career path for you, although I am told the competition is a little tough out there. This does not mean you can’t find new clientele that perhaps have been on the fence. You see, many people are skeptical of personal coaches, and afraid to share their fears with others. That’s unfortunate because they are perhaps bundling them up inside, which is not good either. So, how are you going to reach these folks?

Referrals work best, friends of friends recommending you, as well as satisfied clientele. What about social networks or online referral networks, can they work too? Yes, all that is good, but it’s not going to be easy to reach those online if so many others are doing the same thing using SEO strategies. Further, most likely they’ve been doing it a lot longer and are working every day to compete for those key words.

Not long ago, a life personal coach asked me if I though online article marketing could work. Sure, perhaps you ought to make that part of your marketing mix. If you are sure you want to use article writing to draw traffic, you can compete by upping your game and enjoy an increase in expert status; that makes sense. I suggest that your articles focus on telling of your life experiences, lessons learned, triumphs, challenges, and stories of friends and family who made it through the rain.

Also, let’s say you’ve been in the military and have experience in transitioning back into civilian life – consider that others now have that same challenge; they need you – therefore a perfect niche, one which other personal coaches have not focused. This gives you a competitive edge, and by focusing here you can do well with your online article marketing.

Always remember when preparing online articles that people like real-life stories, and they relate with them, that might cause people to come to your website to have a look-see, then you need to make them an offer, give them information, ask them for referrals, and sign up those who need your services.

Whereas, it is true that “life coach” are a hot set of keywords and ranking would be tough, I’d say try it a different way, targeting people looking for a life coach in your area or region, and with regards to your niche, such as the example I gave above. An example might be “Life Coach for Military Veterans in Reno, NV” which means you want such terms as:

Military

Life Coach

Coaching

Personal Coach

Nevada

Reno

And these words should be in your articles as well, as you give advice, or tell real stories of triumph and overcoming adversity. Maybe you are in Nashville, TN so you might use a title of an article; “Life In Nashville – How to Get a Life and Live Well After Serving in the Military” – much of this is about a decent title, targeting traffic, and then delivering absolutely great content.

The rest should fall into place, and if your articles are good, people will replay them, “like them” or you’ll find more and more of them syndicated in online media. Continued success in your Coaching Business, I wish you well – live with strength of character and integrity! Please consider all this and think on it.
