Social media has clearly been proven as an effective and useful means of communication for people world wide. Not only does it reconnect you with old friends and family but it provides for a great tool to manage all your relationships and social life in general. Artists and celebrities are also among those who use it to not only manage their social lives but as a way to reach out to their fans and to market themselves.

Businesses are slowly but surely making their way into the social media world as well. Just like celebrities, businesses use social sites like Twitter and Facebook to brand themselves and advertise to customers. For example, prior to creating a Facebook page and making friends, research other sites and see what people are already saying about your brand. Then start to engage with these people  and listen to what they have to say. Gather this information and analyze everything before taking the next steps. Feedback online is EXACTLY what you are looking for because it is what consumers are saying that is in turn going to help you influence their behavior. Remember, keep your eye on the prize and the prize is building successful relationships!
